Mr. Chafyaay provides tutoring for students in all levels of K-12 mathematics ranging from middle school math to calculus, and preparation for statewide examinations, standardized exams, and AP examinations.

In meeting these expectations, the curriculum will be mathematically rich and rigorous, offering students opportunities to learn important mathematical concepts and procedures with conceptual understanding. In this program, students will learn how to develop a growth mindset, how to set their own learning goals, how to self-assess their understanding, how to monitor their own learning progress, how to analyze their own assessment data, how to create their own action plan to improve their learning, and how to reflect on their own learning.

Mr. Chafyaay places strong emphasis on the caring, encouraging, and confidence building aspects of tutoring K-12 students which he feels are important elements for the overall effectiveness of tutoring. Students ranging in ages from 11 to 18 are under tremendous pressure to perform well in school and receive good grades. When students begin to struggle in academics and especially mathematics, the frustration grows at an accelerated rate.

Mr. Chafyaay not only provides top level tutoring for students, but he also helps students feel confident about themselves along the way, instilling a growth mindset, a belief in them that they will conquer the challenges in front of them. He works together with his students, reviewing subject material, problems, and related concepts in their classwork and homework, breaking down material until his students are fully grasping the topics being studied.
